Let's Get Back to the Classics: Golden Tee
It all started at 8:00 this morning. I was bored and looking for something to do. Looking through my drawers, I found a dusty, old-fashioned video game named Golden Tee. "What an interesting game," I said, playing the aged game. The way to play this game is you have a mechanical ball in the middle of a video game block. Using the ball, you control where the ball goes and what club you use. You can choose from a few different options; Tournament Play, Driving Range, etc. The driver hits about 310 yards, and the 7 iron hits about 140 yards. If you're looking for an entertaining video game that will last you all night look at Golden Tee.

Golf Tip of The Week: Setting Up Properly
Hello golfers! Your golf tip of the week is changing the direction with your body. You see, if you hit the ball in a direction where you don't want it to go, you are probably blaming your swing when it is actually perfectly fine. Taking your time to set up may be the solution to this problem. When you set up, first think of the direction you want the ball to go. Knowing this, you can angle your body towards the way the hole is. Make sure to keep your shoulders straight. Second, take a few slow practice swings. Then, take a nice even swing at the ball and walah! You have got yourself a hole in one. Thanks for reading.

Glover wins US Open
Lucas Glover won the US Open on Sunday. I could of almost figured that because he was playing so well this weekend, and had been leading for a long time. He didn't destroy everyone though. For Phil Mickelson, a few bad strokes cost him the entire event. If he hadn't missed some easy putts, or drove it into the rough a few times, he would of beat Glover by a long shot. Phil Mickelson is a striped contender that I have seen win events like this, but he is way too unpredictable. Lucas Glover had a lot of great drives and putts that the average person would not of made. He finally made his name noticeable. If he hadn't of won the US Open, people would still be curious about how good he really is. So good for Lucas Glover. Thanks for reading!

Golf Starts in China
China finally realized that golf is one of the best sports ever. They have started creating a lot of high quality courses that I might really consider going to. The atmosphere in China might be really populated and dirty, but I would ignore it if it came to these courses. Most of the courses will be going on a south-west island of China. Many famous designers in the U.S. are starting to build greens here. These courses may be the reason we have a lot of Chinese golfers in the PGA.

Lucas Glover leads U.S. Open
Lucas Glover is winning the U.S. Open with 7 under par. This is when my prediction becomes correct. I predicted that someone unknown would win the U.S. Open. I've never heard of Lucas Glover, how about you? I'm not saying the guy is going to win, but he is sure playing some great golf. Even scoring 1 under par in this condition would be great. I can still see Mickelson or someone make a comeback though. If I were Tiger Woods, I would be playing in my A game to beat this guy.

Jim Furyk Wants To Start Winning Again
Jim Furyk is probably one of my favorite players in golf. He has a high fairway percentage, and is one of the most humorous PGA players. His attitude is great, and he barely ever gets frustrated on courses. Those are all good signs, but the only big problem he has is that he can't win. He is now on a 2-year losing streak. He might have gotten second next to Tiger at the Memorial, but he didn't win. He may have a high fairway percentage, but he can't win. He's a great and exciting player, but I'd like him to win once in a while. If Jim Furyk can win the U.S. Open, that would be amazing.

S9-1 King Cobra
Everyone who is reading and is looking for a new driver, I have found a solution for your searching needs. The answer is S9-1 King Cobra. This little baby is a monster. A week ago, they had normal adult players go to an event called the S9-1 tournament. What they did there was went to a driving range and hit with their normal drivers, then hit with the monster of a driver. On average, everybody gained around 20 yards longer than their normal swing. For only $200, this baby is a bargain considering its amazing performance. My friend and I the other day went to Golf Galaxy for golf balls and other supplies. While we were walking, I stood and stared at the amazing driver. We both decided to try it out and it was amazing. I hit the ball so hard that I almost broke the rubber tee. I don't know about you, but I'm saving up my money for the S9-1 King Cobra.
First Round of U.S. Open Cancelled
The First Round at Bethpage Black was rained out this afternoon. Such a bummer with the fact that I've been looking forward to this event all week. Anyways, New York has enough rain as it is. Well, getting back to buisness. Bethpage Black is going to be extra tough this weekend. In my opinion, it's tough enough for these players. After seeing how bad the course is, I don't think Mickelson or any of those great players will win the tournament this year. I think that an underdog like David Toms or someone is going to win. If some PGA player is reading this right now and thinking that this course is going to be a piece of cake, they're obviously wrong. Tiger Woods isn't even ready for conditions like this. Everyone one who's reading, be ready for a very very interesting match of golf.

U.S. Open Starting Tomorrow
Okay everyone. The U.S. Open starts tomorrow and I thought I would to you guys a little about the history of the event. You see, the U.S. Open has always been one of the most difficult courses in the PGA tour. Even Tiger Woods has tough times on it. If I were you, I wouldn't even think about shooting 60 on this course. So the next time some golfer you like gets double-bogey on a hole, think about how challenging that course really is. Out of all of the major tournaments in the PGA, this is probably my favorite. This is by far the most intense one. I remember when Tiger won last year with a injured leg. My top prospect is Hedraig Harrington though. He's on fire! Lets go Harrington, Lets go!

Golf Tip of the Week: Find the Power in Your Swing
The golf tip of the week is find the power in your swing. Power in your swing is the result of three things. First, your swing mechanics. This is probably pretty obvious because you know that if you have a bad swing, there is no way that you will hit the ball. Second, is how you define power. This is the least recognized one. Most people think of it as a condition that you must have to be a good golfer. This is not true at all. Third, is your equipment. The chances of you doing better with a King Cobra Driver are higher than using a 1980's wood. Power can be a good thing, but you have to be smart about it. For instance, if you're chipping on to the green, you probably don't want to use all of your power. So use your power on your drive, not your putt. Thanks for reading!

Father's Day Sale on Golf Balls this Week
News Flash! They are having amazing deals at Golf Galaxy for all of the top-dog golf balls you can think of. There should be coupons in your Sunday newspaper for a lot of quality equipment. Two boxes of Noodle Long & Soft Golf Balls for $25 is a deal you cannot miss. One box of Pro V1's is $45. That is about ten dollars cheaper than normal. The deal ends on Father's Day, so you had better get your butt off that chair and go to the Galaxy of Golf. Thanks for reading!

U.S. Open, Here We Come
Okay, everyone. The U.S. Open major tournament is about to happen in just about a week. I thought that we would talk about some predictions for the great event. To be honest, I think that Phil Mickelson might make a great comeback to win this. It would be so great for him to win a tournament after his wife having breast cancer so recently. I also like Hedrig Harrington. His swing is amazing, and he has been in his groove for the last year. As you might already know, the U.S. Open is one of the hardest courses in the PGA tour. It takes the Pros a lot of practice to be able to even get pars on this course. If I were to play it, I would probably score 500 or something. Thanks for reading this post, and if you have any predictions, send it to my email or make a comment.
Where have you been John Daly?
John Daly? I think it rings a bell. Oh yeah! I remember that guy!
This was most likely the expression you people made when John Daly came back to the PGA tour. After coming back from a 6-month suspension, Daly will be playing this weekend for the first time in a while. Golf is the biggest solo sport in the world, so if you're not that good and you go away, most likely, people will forget about you. Some people even forgot Tiger Woods when he went away. Anyways, you've got to kick butt when people start looking at you like you're a PGA player again. I'm looking forward for him to do great for the rest of his golf career. I would guess he will be able to win a tournament really soon.

Brian Gay: Super-Star or Over-Rated?
Brian Gay is recently winning the St. Jude Classic from Fed Ex. Now, I thought David Toms was doing great, but Brian Gay? You see, if you're about to make this guy an awesome player in the PGA tour, you're wrong. He may be winning the St. Jude Classic, but who's ever heard of that? I didn't even know what it was until I looked up the Golf News on the PGA tour website. I'm not saying he's a terrible player, I'm just saying I would like to see him win a major tournament soon. That would really impress me. Come on, Brian Gay, beat Tiger Woods at his own game!

Beautiful Golf Courses Worth Playing On
Hello Everyone! I'm here to inform you on some beautiful golf courses that you might just want to play on. First, Elyria Country Club in Elyria, Ohio. This course has beautiful scenes like lakes, trees, and beautifully trimmed courses. If you go there on a nice day, you are sure to have a blast. Another is Grand Rapids Country Club. This course is open to the public so anyone can go there. It is 10 dollars to play 9 holes of golf on foot. You may be thinking, "What?! On foot!"But I assure you that it is worth it. Third, Stoney Creek in Northern Michigan. This course is on Lake Michigan and I bet you it will be one of your favorite golf courses. It is such a nice view to see a lake on a golf course. Those are just some recommendations for you and your friends or family to go on.
The History of Golf
Historians think that the game of golf started on the Eastern Coast of Scotland. It was the 15th century, and at that time they were using sticks and pebbles. This sport was a hobby for the adults after they got home from work. The thing that made the game really unique back then was the fact that the people didn't use a hole. They would tell the other golfers a certain area they had to put the ball in. In the 16th century, golf got popular in France and England. In France, caddies were invented, but in French, they were called cadets. The first golf course was in Edinburg. After that happened, the first golf match was in 1682. In the match, two Scottish men beat two English men. Ever since then, we have definently advanced in the sport. I'm sure they didn't have Titanium Drivers or Golf Carts back then. That is how the game of golf came to be.

Why is Titleist so great?
Titleist is arguably the most popular brand of golf equipment in the PGA. We all know that Tiger Woods is Nike all the way, but why would all of these pros choose this brand over about 50 other brands. I have been studying this for quite a bit, but I honestly think that one of the reasons that Titleist is getting so popular is the fact that their equipment seems like the most well-working compared to Calloway or Wilson. My dad owns almost all Titleist equipment, and once in a while I borrow it. Right from the time I'm teeing off from the time I'm putting, the feel of those clubs is amazing. When I hit those Pro V1 balls, I feel so full of myself. There's a reason that those Titleist balls are so expensive, and it's because they make you feel good. Literally. (Try It!!!)
Helpful Tips for Beginner Golfers
For you beginner golfers out there, I have a few helpful tips to help you hit the ball much further. If you follow these steps, most likely, you will succeed in the game of golf. These handy tips are:
- Keep your eye on the ball throughout your swing.
- Have a follow-through. When you are about to swing, think about how your follow-through will look.
- Keep your wrists straight when you pull back to swing.
How great is Tiger (really)?
People always talk about how great Tiger is, but is he really that good? I mean he just has the highest scoring average in the PGA, but so what? He also has just 14 major tournament wins in his career. Pathetic.
If you haven't noticed my sarcasm yet, I'm joking. Tiger Woods is just about the best player that has ever played. He isn't even done with his career yet and he has that many majors. Wow. Some people out there might think that Vijay Singh is the best golfer. There is just one fragment of advice I would tell them though, "Go get a life." I said it here first, there is no golfer in the history of golf that is better than him.
Top 5 Golf Balls To Look Out For
Here are 5 golf balls that you might want to check out the next time you go to a sporting goods store:
- Titleist Pro V1
- Nike Power Distance Soft
- Top Flite D2 Distance
- Taylor Made Tour Preferred
- Bridgestone B330
