Graeme McDowell Wins the 2010 US Open

Hi everyone! I'm finally back to blogging again. For today, I just wanted to remind you that Graeme McDowell won the US Open at Pebble Beach. This was extremely surprising to me because I thought that one of the big names, such as Ernie Els or Phil Mickelson, in second or third place would be able to catch up to the North Irish golfer. And for Dustin Johnson, I couldn't believe that he could lose the lead so fast. On one of the holes, he practically whiffed the ball by hitting under it. On that hole, I'm pretty sure he shot a double bogey. That score should not be accepted in the PGA. Sure, he was nervous, but still, he should be able to hit the ball. Phil Mickelson had it in the beginning, but then lost it in later holes. It was very disappointing. That is my analysis of the 2010 US Open.

Golf Tip of the Week: Hitting Low through a Narrow Passageway

Hi everyone! The golf tip of the week this week is hitting your golf ball low through a narrow passageway like trees or other objects. The first thing you want to do is set up properly. If you don't aim right, the whole process could turn into a train wreck. The second thing you want to do is set up your golf ball back in your stance. What this does is make the ball lower since you will be topping it a little bit. If you put it far up in your stance it will go high. After that, you want to keep your eye on the ball and accelerate into it. If you do those things, the ball is going to be exactly where you want it. Thanks again for reading!

Y.E. Yang Defeats Tiger Woods in PGA Championship

This year, Y.E. Yang, the golfer from Korea, defeated Tiger Woods. Good for him. He was doing great this weekend. Tiger Woods had a 4-stroke lead early, but soon gave it up. The thing that really kept Yang's hopes up is the eagle on one of the later holes. Tiger had a chip that put him about 7-feet from the hole. I could see in Yang's face that he was determined to do better. He took a few practice swing, and he chips it."Very good chip, that's going to roll, ow wow!" says the commentator. Doink! It's in the hole for eagle. Yang celebrates, while Tiger has that oh-great expression on his face. He had to make the next putt to even have a chance at winning the major. I would love to be able to say that Tiger missed the putt, but he eats pressure for breakfast. Of course he sinks it. This was probably my favorite major this year. Y.E. Yang was the first Asian-born player to win a major. By the way he played today though, I think he has some top-tens coming in his future. Thanks again for reading!

Tiger Woods Wins the Bridgestone Invitational

Tiger Woods beat the Bridgestone Invitational for the 7th time this weekend. Heck, Tiger Woods is so good that I think I could of predicted this from the beginning. It was Sunday afternoon when the broadcaster called Woods "The Best Putter Ever." When I heard this, I really cracked up. Not only is he the best putter ever, he's the best driver and chipper ever. I saw his caddy, Steve Williams, telling Tiger where to hit it. I honestly was thinking, what does Tiger Woods not know about this course. He had won it 6 times. Just something to think about. Tiger Woods Wins Buick Open

Hi everyone! I just wanted to inform you that Tiger Woods won his 69th PGA tournament win at the Buick Open. You see, this guy would just not get bad. He was on a roll. Once he got his rhythm down, there was no stopping him. Winning by three strokes, I count that as a good win in my book. I think there is one problem though. Tiger Woods I think has a lot of tougher courses in his future. The Buick Open, I consider, a simple course for amazing players like him. One thing I like about Tiger is that he has a trait that many golfers do not have. This trait happens to be humbleness. If he stays like this, he'll be able to whip up another win for his stats. It's Time for the Buick Open

Hello everyone! Today is the second round of the Buick Open and I thought I might talk a little about the history of this event, then maybe some predictions. Since 1982, the Buick Open has raised $10 million for charity. The course has had a long partnership with the PGA Tour for quite a bit of time. So whenever you watch the Buick Open, know that there is always elegance and power in this great event. So far, Steve Lowery is winning the Buick. He is working really hard to stay on the scoreboard. John Senden is in second with 8 under par. With being only one stroke worse than Lowery, I'm sure he is going to make this event pretty intense. Without any all-stars in the first four places of this tournament, I'm pretty sure no one that is actually heard of will win this tournament. Thanks again for reading!

Kim and Goosen lead in Canadian Open

So far, Anthony Kim and Retief Goosen lead the Canadian Open with both shooting 15 under par. With a score like that, this practically means these all-stars need a little bit more of a challenge than this. In second place is Bob Estes. He seems to be playing fairly well. I give him credit to hang in there against Kim and Goosen. If he ends up on the leader-board by the end of this event, that would be spectacular. It would be even crazier if there was another playoff. Another thing I've noticed is that there is an American in first, second, third, and fourth place. There isn't a Canadian until T8 place. Suckers! I just find that funny. Thanks again for reading!
